This will show you how to add a Custom Item or SKU into inventory.
This is typically used when there is a static frame, but the customer gets to select the fabric, color, pillows, etc.
You will first add your store showroom specific item
Select Inventory
Select New
Select the Supplier
Select the Category
Select the Model
Select the Subcategory
Enter the Color
Select the Collection
If you want to add any other information do so at this time, such as Cost
Select Post
Now, add the Custom SKU that can be customized
We will keep most of the information except the following
Remove Color
Remove Cost
Optionally add ‘-Custom’ to the end of the model
Select Post
You will now have 2 items. One is the showroom item, the other will be the custom one
Select Exit
You should be on the Custom SKU now
Select Edit
Select Details
Enter the requirements that the Salesperson will need to enter such as the following
Color
Fabric
Pillows
Legs
Select Misc.
Select the Checkbox for “Alert When Sold”
In the Stock Notes, enter in “Enter in Details” or another message to prompt the Salesperson
Select Exit
Now, when the Custom Item is added to an Invoice, the Salesperson will be prompted to enter in the Details we selected in Step 6.
