Confirming the Correct Port for Mini Scanner Scanning
For the Mini Scanner to connect to Furniture Wizard Software, the port the mini scanner is plugged into has to align with Furniture Wizard’s settings.
To confirm the port’s are aligned follow the instructions below.
Open up the Device Manager on your computer
Find ‘Ports’ and select the arrow beside Ports to reveal the Opticon USB Code Reader Comm Port.
The Comm Port is (COM4) in the example below
On Furniture Wizard Software double click the Wizard Hat icon on the main menu.
Select ‘Preferences’
Select ‘Barcode Scanners’
Make sure ‘Use Mini-Scanner’ box is checked and that the ‘Comm’ matches the Comm Port from your device manager.
*You will want to make sure the USB cord remains plugged into your computer so the Comm Port does not change.
