Update Prices of current inventory items using a spreadsheet of pricing and model numbers from a Supplier.
You will need Furniture Wizard Version 20.04.1 or newer for this functionality.
First, you will export your current Supplier’s inventory items using Super Search. Next, you will use VLookup to match up Model Numbers and update the pricing on the Excel spreadsheet. Then, you will import those items with the updated costs/pricing. Watch the video below for a step-by-step guide to the entire process.
Inventory Super Search - Select the Supplier and a Branch.
‘Export to File (Importer)’ - Select Export
This will export a CSV file that you can update pricing
Locate and open the exported file (If in the Cloud, select the Wiz++ icon in the Windows App)
The export will be in the same format used to import items (make sure to keep the item numbers for a quick match)
*IMPORTANT* The only fields that can be updated with this feature are the Cost, Retail, and Regular Fields. All other fields will not be updated when importing, and could cause the importer to believe it is a new item.Copy the Model Numbers and New Costs from the Supplier to this spreadsheet if using the VLookup function.
The detailed steps for using VLookup are in the video.Once the costs, retail, and regular fields are updated to your satisfaction, ensure that the formatting has been cleared and save the file as an .xlsx workbook. (If in the Cloud, save the spreadsheet to the ‘Inventory for Import’ folder.)
Now use Furniture Wizard’s Import Inventory function to update the cost, retail, and regular fields. The importer will first look to match the Furniture Wizard Item Number.
The Status will update, Showing Update Costs, Update Retail, Update Regular, New Item, etc. Make sure the status is correct, and the process method is set to ‘All Changes’ or the status that accurately reflects the changes you made (‘Update Costs’ if you only changed Costs), and select Process Data.
The pricing should now be updated accurately in Furniture Wizard.
